We’ve created a quick checklist to help make sure all the admitted student to-dos get to-done. Tackling these items in the order they are presented is highly recommended.
1. File your FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid) > Opens October 1st
3. Accept your Financial Aid Package
Check your personal email that you added on your applications for an email from LaGrange College’s Financial Aid Office. Have questions or can’t find the email? Contact Financial Aid.
4. Sign up for New Student Orientation > Registration opens March 1st
You will receive an email with a link to sign up for the appropriate orientation session, based on your status as a freshman or transfer student. Have questions or can’t find the email? Contact LaGrange Admissions.
5. Complete Housing Paperwork > Housing application opens March 1st
You will receive an email with a link to the housing application forms on March 1st, or after if admitted after March 1st. Students who meet one of the residency exemption requirements should complete the Commuter Verification Form. Commuter Verification Forms must be submitted prior to the fee payment deadline of the first semester of enrollment each academic year. Have questions or can’t find the email? Students can contact the Housing and Student Life Office via email at housing@bagmakerblog.com or by phone at 706-880-8975.
6. Complete Health Form
Every incoming student must complete a Health Form. Health forms are due two weeks prior to your orientation date. The Health Form and all housing forms can be found in MyLC, the student portal. Students can also contact the Housing and Student Life Office via email at housing@bagmakerblog.com or by phone at 706-880-8975.
7. Send LaGrange College’s Admissions Office your Final Transcripts
Before you graduate, request that your final transcript be sent to the LaGrange College Admissions Office. High school transcripts must include a graduation date. Transfer students and freshmen who have taken college courses should make sure that transcripts are sent from every college they have attended, not just the most recent one. Additionally, send any AP scores directly to the Admissions Office.
8. Login to your LaGrange College Email
Prior to your orientation session, you will receive an email to your personal email address that you provided on your application. This email will come from the LaGrange College IT Office and will contain your new LaGrange email address and password. This will come after you pay your deposit but will arrive just before you attend orientation. Having trouble with your LaGrange email? Contact LaGrange Admissions.
9. Attend Orientation!
Orientation is where you will meet with a faculty advisor, register for classes and learn what it is like to be a LaGrange College Panther. Ninety-five percent of the students responding to the Orientation Survey indicate that they gained insight and valuable advice related to life at LaGrange College from their orientation leaders. Eight-seven percent indicated that they felt more prepared and comfortable with the transition to LaGrange College after attending orientation.
